ATA Paint Technician / Paint Sprayer
Southampton 
Permanent | Full-time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We’re looking for an experienced ATA Paint Technician / Paint Sprayer to join a modern automotive repair business.

If you’re already a strong painter but feel you’ve reached the point where you’re simply doing the same job in a different bodyshop, this one is worth looking at.

The role

You’ll be responsible for high-quality vehicle preparation and refinishing across a range of repairs.

Your work will include:

• Preparing vehicles and panels for paint
• Colour matching
• Mixing and applying paint systems
• Primer, basecoat and clearcoat application
• Masking and preparation
• Polishing and finishing
• Identifying and correcting paint defects
• Maintaining quality throughout the repair process
• Working closely with Panel, MET and production colleagues

What we’re looking for

You should have:

• Current ATA Paint accreditation
• Good bodyshop or accident repair experience
• Strong preparation and refinishing skills
• Good colour-matching ability
• High standards of finish
• Pride in the quality of your work
