Behaviour Mentor – SEMH & Vocational Learning

Location: Gosport, Hampshire
Salary: £21,731 – £24,195.50 + up to £2,500 annual bonus
Contract: Full Time | Permanent | Term Time Only

New Chapter Tuition is working exclusively with a specialist vocational and alternative education provider to recruit a Behaviour Mentor in Gosport.

You will support KS3–KS5 learners with SEMH, ADHD, SEND, emotional and behavioural needs, and experiences of trauma. Working 1:1 and with small groups of up to eight, you will help young people rebuild confidence, develop resilience and re-engage with education through practical and vocational learning.

We’re looking for experience in areas such as:

• Behaviour mentoring or behaviour support

• SEMH, SEND or alternative provision

• Youth work, outreach or pastoral support

• Learning support or Teaching Assistant roles

• PRUs or working with disengaged young people

• Armed Forces or Cadet Forces

You’ll need to be confident building positive relationships, establishing clear boundaries and using positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategies.
