Clinical Assessor 
Nurses | Occupational Therapists | Physiotherapists | Paramedics | Pharmacists 


Hybrid Role
Full-time | Monday–Friday | 9am–5pm
Part time available - 3/4 days

Location: Southampton

Salary: £40,000 - (+ 1k at 6/12 months - performance based)


PIP assessments - (looks at how a disability/health condition affects daily living and mobility)


What will you be doing? As a Clinical Assessor, you will:

• Conduct telephone and face-to-face assessments with claimants 
• Explore how health conditions affect everyday activities and work
• Review medical evidence and health questionnaires
• Ask detailed questions about functional ability
• Use your critical thinking and clinical reasoning skills
• Produce clear, accurate and objective reports for the DWP
• Make recommendations based on your assessment findings

What you need:

• At least 1 year of recent post-registration experience in a relevant adult setting
• At least 1 year of active NMC, HCPC or GPHC registration
• Strong communication and assessment skills
• Excellent report-writing and typing skills
• Good IT skills
• The ability to work independently and manage your own caseload

Full training provided Successful candidates will complete a comprehensive 12-week training programme, covering:

• Assessment techniques
• DWP guidelines and requirements
• Report writing
• Functional assessment skills
• Role-specific training and support

You don't need previous Clinical Assessor experience — your clinical experience and transferable assessment skills are what matter.
