Job Description:

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Regional Business Manager to take ownership of a defined geographic territory and drive sales growth across existing and prospective customers within the electronics and engineering sectors.

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing long-term customer relationships, increasing sales and profitability, and growing a portfolio of customers across your Hampshire and South West.

You will be responsible for selling a broad portfolio of electronic components, including passive components, EMC components and capacitors, working closely with customers throughout the complete project lifecycle - from initial design concept through to production.

Key Responsibilities for the Regional sales manager job covering Hampshire and South West:

• Grow sales and profitability across your assigned territory by increasing active projects, customer numbers and customer spend.
• Sell a portfolio of electronic components, with a particular focus on passive components, EMC components and capacitors.
• Develop strong, long-term relationships with existing customers while identifying and converting new business opportunities.
• Increase engagement and sales activity across multiple customer accounts and establish multiple points of contact within each organisation.
• Identify opportunities for the company's electronic component portfolio within new and existing customer projects.
• Conduct regular customer visits and maintain an active presence across your territory through both face-to-face and remote engagement.
• Manage customer projects from initial design concept through to production, supporting customers throughout the complete project lifecycle.
• Work closely with design engineers, engineering teams, procurement and purchasing departments to understand technical and commercial requirements.
• Introduce and promote suitable passive components, capacitors and EMC components based on customer applications and project requirements.
• Provide a highly personalised technical account management service, developing a deep understanding of each customer's business, products and future requirements.
• Identify high-potential prospects through market research, territory analysis and proactive business development.
• Take full commercial responsibility for your territory, ensuring customer numbers, activity levels, project opportunities and spend increase in line with business growth objectives.
• Conduct regular territory management reviews to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Negotiate effectively with customers to secure new projects, increase account penetration and maximise commercial returns.
• Build relationships at multiple levels within customer organisations to develop long-term partnerships.
• Represent the company's electronic component and EMC product range professionally across the UK market.
• Work collaboratively with internal technical and commercial teams to ensure customer requirements and projects are successfully delivered.

You will ideally have:

• A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
• A minimum of 2-3 years' proven sales success within a relevant product, service, engineering, electronics or OEM environment.
• Experience selling electronic components, ideally including passive components, capacitors, EMC components or related products.
• Experience working within a design-led technical sales environment.
• A proven ability to work with design, engineering, procurement and/or purchasing teams.
• Experience selling into OEMs, manufacturers or engineering-led organisations.
• Experience managing projects through a longer sales cycle, ideally from design concept through to production.
• An understanding of project-based sales and typical 6-24 month sales cycles.
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
• A high level of intellectual curiosity, analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
• A genuine desire to develop professionally and build a successful career in technical sales and business development.
• High energy, resilience and a strong motivation to achieve and exceed sales targets.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• The flexibility and willingness to travel nationally, with some international travel required.
• A full UK driving licence.
