RF & SATCOM Engineer (329lw) –Hampshire - £40,000 - £45,000 + bonus & benefits

Our client is a growing technology business specialising in the supply, integration and support of advanced electronic and communications solutions. With significant recent expansion and continued investment in its Satellite Communications (SATCOM) division, we're looking to bring talented RF and SATCOM engineers into the team.

This is a varied, hands-on engineering role where you'll be involved in the full lifecycle of communications systems – from equipment configuration, integration and testing through to installation, commissioning and customer acceptance.

You'll spend much of your time working alongside an experienced engineering team in the workshop, with opportunities to get out on site and deliver solutions directly to customers across the UK and occasionally overseas.

What Will You Be Doing?

Supporting the integration, configuration and delivery of RF and satellite communications systems.

Carrying out equipment testing, validation and fault-finding to ensure reliable system performance.

Working with RF equipment, antennas, satellite terminals, modems and associated communications technologies.

Supporting system installations, commissioning and customer acceptance activities.

Diagnosing technical issues and finding practical solutions in both workshop and customer environments.

Contributing to technical documentation, test reports and system specifications.

Working closely with engineering colleagues, suppliers and customers to deliver successful projects.

We're particularly interested in hearing from ex-military professionals and service leavers with a background in communications, RF, SATCOM or related technical disciplines - you could have gained your experience within the Royal Signals, RAF, Royal Navy or another technical branch of the Armed Forces. You might have worked with tactical communications, radio systems, satellite terminals, antennas, transmission equipment or wider RF technologies.

You'll ideally bring

Practical experience of RF, radio frequency or satellite communications systems.

An understanding of equipment testing, installation, integration and fault-finding.

Experience working with technical equipment in operational or demanding environments.

A methodical approach to troubleshooting and resolving problems.

An HNC/HND or equivalent technical qualification (relevant military training and experience will also be considered).

Experience with spectrum analysers, signal generators, power meters and similar RF test equipment would be advantageous.

Existing SC security clearance would be desirable but is not essential.
