Job Description:

Qualified Nursery Nurse

• Hours: 35 - 40 hours per week
• Location: A nursery in Marchwood
• Salary: £14 per hour
• Start Date: ASAP

We are seeking a dedicated Toddler Room Leader to join a well-established nursery in Southampton on a permanent, long-term basis. This role is ideal for an experienced early years professional who is passionate about supporting toddlers’ development, creating engaging learning experiences, and leading a nurturing, supportive room environment.

The Role

• To have a sound knowledge of company policies, procedures, and expectations
• To act as an excellent role model to the staff team and children
• To take responsibility for excellent hygiene, health and safety and security practice within the nursery
• To play a part in planning and providing appropriate daily activities in line with guidance from the EYFS for your key children
• To uphold the highest level of safeguarding practice and ensure company policies and procedures are always adhered to
• To carry out observation, assessment and planning in your room, with your key children, ensuring all children are making progress
• To work with outside professionals where required
• To work closely with parents and create trusting relationships with all families
• To work as part of the team within your room and within thewider setting

Requirements

• Punctual, reliable, and professional
• Relevant Level 3 childcare qualification
• Ability to provide two proofs of address and references for last 2 years
• Willingness to follow safeguarding and EYFS guidelines
